GR11 E9 - Serra da Arrábida (3.9 km)

Exit the N379-1 road north at kilometer 6 and climb up the path that goes northeast. At 38.462 -9.017 you will enter the old path that connects the Chapel of Our Lady of Carmen to the Capuchin Convent. Continue to climb northeast along this path. At 39.466 -9.007, take a north-west and then north trail, which climbs the slope to the Alto da Pena, then up northeast to the karst zone until you reach the Estaganhais and then the Formosinho, the highest point of the Serra da Arrábida, 500 meters above sea level.

Sair da estrada N379-1 para norte ao quilómetro 6 e subir pelo carreiro que vai seguindo para nordeste. Em 38.462 -9.017 entrará no antigo caminho que liga a Capela de Nossa Senhora del Carmen ao Convento dos Capuchos. Continue a subir na direção nordeste, por este caminho. Em 39.466 -9.007, tomar um trilho de direção noroeste e depois norte, que sobe a encosta até ao Alto da Pena, seguindo depois pelo alto da serra, para nordeste, por uma zona cársica, até chegar aos Estaganhais e depois ao Formosinho, o ponto mais alto da Serra da Arrábida, 500 metros acima do nível do mar.
